Underground mains pressure cold water supply, usually involves the connection of a water supply service from the Local Council Main at the property boundary through to the House or property.

  • Copper is highly durable  and when installed properly  will provide a long service life.

  • Poly is a versatile material with many applications and likewise can also provide a long service life.

  • Galvanized Metal pipe is durable and hard wearing but in time will generally break down faster due to environmental factors than the other materials when used in a cold water service.

  • PVC Pressure pipe is not as popular as most other materials and subsequently there are not many installations with this type of material for use in the water supply.


As with any type of piping material used, care must be exercised when carrying out any activities around the home when it may affect underground services.
